Who we are
GradsMatch is an independent project by Antoine Pangas. Accessing or using the site means you agree to these terms. If you don't, don't use the site.
What the site is for
GradsMatch helps you compare master's degree programs on normalized fields: tuition, test requirements, deadlines, GPA thresholds, rec letter counts, modality, and similar. The free tier covers program names, locations, tuition, and descriptions. The Pro tier covers the fields most relevant during application (exact GPA thresholds, test minimums, deadlines, rec letter counts, essay prompts, prerequisites).
Accounts
You may create one account per person, using a real email address. You are responsible for activity on your account. If you suspect your account is compromised, email hello@gradsmatch.com and we will lock it.
Pro subscription
- Pro is $9/month, billed through Stripe. The first 7 days are a free trial; you are not charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel any time during the trial without being charged.
- After the trial, the subscription renews monthly. You can cancel at any time from /settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until then.
- We don't issue pro-rated refunds for partial months. If you are charged in error, email us and we'll refund the full amount.
- Pricing and features may change with notice. For material changes, we'll notify active subscribers by email at least 14 days ahead.
Data accuracy
GradsMatch compiles data from official university websites. We normalize it and verify it on a rolling basis — see the methodology page for how. Every program shows a "Last verified" date.
We do our best but we cannot guarantee that every field is current or complete. Tuition changes, deadlines move, requirements update. Before making an application decision, confirm the specific values on the school's official page. We link to the source on every program page for exactly this reason. If you find an error, let us know — we re-verify within 7 days.
Acceptable use
- Don't scrape the site at volume. If you want aggregate data for research, email us.
- Don't resell or publicly republish the data as if it were yours.
- Don't attempt to bypass the Pro tier — RLS enforces it; circumventing is a breach.
- Don't use the site to harass schools, applicants, or us.
- Don't upload anything to the resume parser that isn't your own resume.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section. In most cases we'll reach out first.
Our content
The way GradsMatch organizes, normalizes, and presents data — our schema, our matching algorithm, our editorial content — is ours. Facts we aggregate from public university pages remain facts; the presentation is the original work.
You may reference individual program pages or link to us for personal use (research, sharing with friends, academic work). Contact us for licensing beyond that.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is." We make no guarantee that it will always be available, that data will always be accurate, or that it is fit for any particular purpose (including, specifically, any admissions decision). To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the site.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes get a new "Last updated" date and, for signed-in users, an email notice. Continued use of the site after an update means you agree to the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes that can't be resolved by email will be handled in Michigan state or federal court.
